Microsoft says it needs admin approval? Here's the 2 minute fix.
Many firms' Microsoft 365 settings only let an administrator approve new apps. That is a sensible setting. Your administrator approves AI Legal Toolbox once, and everyone at the firm can then sign in.

Available on Microsoft AppSource for Outlook on Windows, Mac and the web
Option 1: one link (about 2 minutes)
- Your Microsoft 365 administrator opens the approval link (app.ailegaltoolbox.com.au, then Microsoft's sign-in page).
- They sign in with their administrator account. Microsoft shows its own page listing what AI Legal Toolbox can access.
- They press Accept. That approves it for the whole firm.
This is Microsoft's standard admin consent page. See Microsoft's documentation.
Option 2: install it for everyone from the Microsoft 365 admin center
- In the Microsoft 365 admin center, go to Settings, then Integrated apps, then Add-ins.
- Choose Deploy Add-in, then the Office Store option, and search for AI Legal Toolbox.
- Choose who gets it (everyone, or specific people) and deploy.
Microsoft notes add-ins can take up to 24 to 72 hours to appear in Outlook. See Microsoft's guide to deploying add-ins. Each person still signs in once; if your settings also stop staff approving apps, use Option 1 as well.
What it can access, and why
These are Microsoft Graph permissions that act on behalf of the person signed in. AI Legal Toolbox never sees anyone else's mailbox.

Questions practitioners ask
Why does Microsoft say it needs admin approval?
Your firm's Microsoft 365 settings only let an administrator approve new apps that ask for access to mail. It is a common, sensible setting. An administrator approves AI Legal Toolbox once for the firm.
Who can approve it?
A Microsoft 365 administrator for your firm, often your IT provider. They sign in with their administrator account on Microsoft's own page and press Accept.
Can we remove access later?
Yes. Each person can sign out in the add-in, and an administrator can remove the app under Enterprise applications in Microsoft Entra at any time.
